Lonely?

Lonely

You could be surrounded by hundreds of people and still feel alone. I feel loneliness more often than I should. Don’t get me wrong, I have family and friends there for me. Sometimes it just feels as if, there’s no one there to really relate or understand what I may be going through. The thing is, Iput this thought in my head that no one can relate to me.

I don’t give anyone the chance to understand, just assume I’m all alone in this. I’m putting myself in a lonely state when I shouldn’t.

Lonely: affected with, characterized by, or causing a depressing feeling of being alone; lonesome.

Loneliness; to me, is a mind game we play with ourselves. It’s so important to take advantage of your resources; whether it’s a family member or a best friend, when feeling lonely. I mentioned last week, there are some discouraged people out there with no one by their side. Loneliness is in the same category.

We’ll fall into this depressing place, surrounded with nothing but darkness wishing for someone to be there. I know loneliness. It’s empty. It’s dark. It’s a silent killer.

Give someone the opportunity to be there for you. Don’t assume they can’t comfort you, or understand you. You could even journal your thoughts when you’re feeling lonely. My advice is to not only you, but myself, you are not alone. Don’t psychic yourself out to believe that you are!
